One of the most important decisions in acrylic production is thickness. If the sheet is too thin, the display may flex or feel cheap. If it is too thick, cost and weight rise quickly without improving the result.

Different products require different structures. A slim sign holder and a multi-tier retail rack should not be built the same way.
A practical rule
Thickness is usually driven by three things:
- Product weight
- Unsupported span
- How much handling the piece will receive
Light brochure holders can stay relatively thin. Counter racks, wall-mounted shelves, and furniture components usually need more material and reinforcement. The right choice comes from the actual use case, not from copying a generic sample.
